“Social media and branding strategy: case study” is the scientific communication of Dr. Joan Francesc Fondevila Gascón, Dr. Gaspar Berbel, Mònica Muñoz, Dr. Pedro Mir, Dr. Elena Puiggròs, Dr. Javier Sierra, Dr. Marta Tena, Dr. Eva Santana, Dr. Josep Rom and Dr. Enric Ordeix at the eighth International Congress of Ciberjournalism “The impact of audiences on professional profiles and contents”, which was held in Bilbao on 7 and 8 November 2016.

This paper analyzes empirically the impact of social media and social networks in brand strategy of enterprises. A decisive impact on social environment activity is observed by the companies.

The study corresponds to the research task of the Research Group on Digital Journalism and Marketing and Broadband and Research Group on Innovative Monetization Systems of Journalism, Marketing and Digital Tourism (SIMPED) of CECABLE, Universitat Pompeu Fabra, the Mediterrani University School of the University of Girona, Ramon Llull Blanquerna-Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona and Universitat of which is principal investigator Dr. Joan Francesc Fondevila Gascón.
