On February 24, presentation at the BCT of the novel “Milagro en el agua”, by Joan Francesc Fondevila, inspired by the flood of 1962 and 1st International Erotic and Amorous Literature Award
The Central Library of Terrassa (BCT) will host on February 24 (6 p.m.) the presentation of the novel “Milagro en el agua”, by Joan Francesc Fondevila Gascón from Terrassa, with which he won in 2024 the 1st International Erotic and Amorous Literature Award, organized by the Basque publisher Berez Haziku, based in Munitibar (Vizcaya).
“The work, of a historical character and with various love plots, is inspired by the flood of 1962 that affected Terrassa and the region”, explains Fondevila. “It’s an allegory, sprinkled with numerous fragments of poetic prose, in which the struggle for life and, above all, love ends up triumphing.” This is the first foray into the novel by the author from Terrassa, winner of numerous literary prizes in various genres (novel, poetry, short story). “It’s my first novel and it’s a great joy to have been awarded,” says Fondevila.
The multifaceted Doctor Fondevila, University Professor, director of the Cable Studies Centre (CECABLE) and president of the philanthropic Societat Catalana de Comunicació-Institut d’Estudis Catalans (SCC-IEC), has won numerous scientific, teaching, journalistic, management and literary awards. The most recent ones are the Serranía Literary Prize of Guadalajara (2022), the International Short Story Prize on Olivar (2022), the Human Rights Micro-Story Contest of Amnesty International (2022), the Rimas para Debra Literary Prize (2023), the 1st International Erotic and Amorous Literature Award (2024), Tomelloso’s “Romería de la Virgen de las Viñas” Microstories and Micropoems Contest (2024) and II Literary Contest José Nicolás Pascual Herrero de Magaña (Soria) (2024).
