Dr. Fondevila, in the scientific committee of the European Alliance for Innovation (EAI)
Dr. Joan Francesc Fondevila Gascón, director of the Cable Studies Center (CECABLE) and professor of university (University of Girona, UPF, UB and UAB), has been elected member of the scientific committee of the European Alliance for Innovation (EAI). CECABLE is also member of EAI.
EAI was created by leaders from industry, research, and policy making organisations to engage the global community with the shared goal of securing Europe’s future competitiveness through innovation. By harnessing the potential of the ICT revolution, EAI engages the global community in all sectors of society to explore ways in which innovation in technology and business can benefit society at large.
EAI combines vision and advocacy of society leaders with a grassroots democratic participative model, functioning together through innovative web tools covering all stages of the innovation cycle to build a new and sustainable innovation paradigm.

Principal investigator of the Research Group on Digital Journalism and Broadband and Research Group on Innovative Systems of Monetization of Digital Journalism and Marketing (SIMPED) of CECABLE and various universities, Dr. Fondevila has published over 50 scientific articles indexed and he has received numerous awards for its research and management in science.
