Dr. Joan Francesc Fondevila wins the QP International Scientific Award in Andorra
Dr. Joan Francesc Fondevila Gascón, catedrático de Universidad (university professor) and director of the Cable Studies Center (CECABLE), won the QP International Scientific Award in Sant Julià de Lòria (Andorra) for his academic and scientific activity. The professor from Terrassa received the award during the celebration of the VIII Graphic Symposium, held from September 7 to 9.
“I am very happy and excited to win this award, which is recognition of a scientific career that I develop with enthusiasm”, said Fondevila, professor at various universities, such as Blanquerna Universitat Ramon Llull, Escola Universitària Mediterrani (Universitat de Girona), Euncet-Polytechnic University of Catalonia, EAE Business School, Pompeu Fabra University or Cesine.
The award emphasized the leading impact in the journal Questiones Publicitarias of one of the indexed scientific articles published by Fondevila, whose H index is the best in its areas of knowledge. With more than two hundred articles, book chapters and scientific books published and four six-year research periods won, the Terrassa’s champion has won numerous awards for his activity as a teacher, researcher and manager. In addition, Fondevila has been honored for his scientific outreach work through the blog http://www.telecomunicacionesyperiodismo.com/, a world leader in his areas of knowledge.
The event, which was hosted by the eUniv Universidad Europea, through the Max Weber Chair in Economy and Society of the Euniv (Principality of Andorra), had the collaboration of various research groups from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, Universitat de Barcelona, Ramon Llull University, the Official College of Graphic Design of Catalonia and the College of Advertising and Public Relations of Catalonia.
