European Award for Management and Business Innovation for Dr. Fondevila and CECABLE
The European Association of Economy and Competitiveness (AEDEEC) has awarded Dr. Joan Francesc Fondevila Gascón and the CECABLE (Cable Studies Center) the European Award for Management and Business Innovation, “in recognition of his firm commitment to the search of new formulas for the promotion and strengthening of business management in order to improve the Spanish and European economy”.
“It is an honour and it fills us with emotion to receive this award, which rewards our task of research and dissemination on the Broadband Society, Cloud Journalism, communication and telecommunications,” says Fondevila. This is the first time that the European Association of Economy and Competitiveness has awarded this award, aimed at those companies, professionals or institutions that strive to strengthen business innovation and opt for new formulas, integrating them into their daily activities.
It is awarded the effort of those who advance in projects of implementation of new models of labour management that improves competitiveness and efficiency, which have an important relationship with the R + D + i department, essential for the development and growth of an organization business and to improve competitiveness and efficiency.
This prestigious distinction of the AEDEEC is given only to those who, after a detailed study, which is carried out by its team of specialized advisors, deserve this decoration. This places Dr. Fondevila and CECABLE as worldwide benchmarks in business management and innovation.
Dr. Fondevila’s research activity, focused on journalism, telecommunications and social sciences, is reflected in hundreds of scientific articles indexed (most of JCR and Scopus), scientific books and book chapters, communications in scientific congresses, the creation of scientific concepts such as the Broadband Society, Cloud Journalism or Social Journalism Commerce, teaching in various universities, the organization of the Cable and Broadband Catalonia Congress, university management and research groups and the development of the scientific blog Telecommunications and Journalism, leader of the sector. For all these reasons, Dr. Fondevila is the most awarded in his areas of knowledge.
Dr. Fondevila and CECABLE have once again demonstrated that innovation is one of its main emblems, with great results both academically and in the business world. That is why the AEDEEC has wanted to value all this task, giving them a prize “that fills us again with satisfaction and at the same time with enthusiasm to continue a task that we love and that motivates us to the fullest,” says Dr. Fondevila, director of the CECABLE.
