Fondevila wins the National Award of Catalan Poetry
Professor and Doctor Joan Francesc Fondevila Gascón won the XXII National Award of Catalan Poetry in Viladecans with the poem “Ella”. “I am happy and excited with this award. In the poem, I lyrically explain the day-to-day life of a working woman, and all the sacrifices it entails,” explains Fondevila. The award was made at the Ateneu Can Batllori in Viladecans in a beautiful ceremony.
Fondevila is stringing together an enormous streak of literary prizes in 2024, as it has recently won the I International Erotic and Amorous Literature Contest, with the novel “Milagro en el agua”, the I Microstories and Micropoems Award “Romería de la Virgen de las Viñas” from Tomelloso (Ciudad Real), with the story “Romería del alma”, and the International Literary Award “José Nicolás Pascual Herrero” from Magaña (Sòria), thanks to the poem collection “Latidos de un pueblo”.
