“From traditional marketing, audience and reception studies to new digital metric: a comparative study of social media use” is the scientific communication of Dr. Joan Francesc Fondevila Gascón, Dr. Eva Santana, Dr. Josep Rom and. Dr. Pedro Mir at the First International Symposium on Management of Communication Media and Metamedia XESCOM, the International Research Network Communication Management, which took place on 27 and 28 November of 2015 at the Faculty of Social Sciences and Communication of the University of Vigo (Pontevedra Campus). In the study there is a comparative and econometric analysis of the factors that lead to choosing a digital metric or another.

In the comparison between Easyjet  and VuelingPeople!, Easyjet has better exposure and interaction while VuelingPeople! is imposed on dialogue, support and advocacy. Comments help to get more accurate solutions and improve the consumer experience. The study is a research work of the Research Group on Broadband and Digital Journalism and the Research Group on Innovative Monetization Systems of Digital Journalism, Marketing and Tourism, by the CECABLE, Universitat Pompeu Fabra, Mediterrani University School (University of Girona) and Blanquerna-Universitat Ramon Llull. The principal investigator of both groups is Dr. Joan Francesc Fondevila Gascón.
