The DMTforum 2023 reveals the health of the Broadband Society
“The situation of the Broadband Society in Catalonia and Spain is positive and we must try to innovate more in content”. This is how the director of the Cable Studies Center (CECABLE), Professor and Doctor Joan Francesc Fondevila Gascón, summed up the DMTforum 2023 (XXVII Broadband and Cable Catalonia Congress).
“The fact of having 16 million homes connected to fibre optic, and 13.5 connected, gives us a European leadership that should not hide the 2.3 million homes that still remain without access to the fibre optic network”, Fondevila clarified. The event, organized by CECABLE and Feceminte with the collaboration of the Catalan Society of Communication-Institut d’Estudis Catalans (SCC-IEC), the Generalitat de Catalunya and other entities and companies, developed with great public success and contents in the Can Tiana Space of the National Markets and Competition Commission (CNMC).
